Lancia: Renaissance is imminent
READY FOR EUROPE Lancia's strategy for the ten years from 2024 includes three new models. With these, the revitalized Italian brand aims to cover 50 percent of the market. From 2026, all models are to be electric.
Lancia wants to be "ready for Europe" again and appoints new Brand Country Directors in five countries to kick off its return to Europe.
Regain respect
The ten-year plan adopted in September 2021 is being implemented step by step. Innovation and timeless design have always been Lancia's core values, and now sustainability, customer focus and responsibility are to be added.
Luca Napolitano, CEO Lancia: "Today is an important day. Lancia is taking a first step towards becoming once again a credible and respected brand in the premium segment."
Three important models
The ten-year plan begins in 2024, starting with the new Ypsilon, which will be launched with a purely electrified powertrain.
The 4.60-meter flagship, whose name is not yet known, will follow in 2026. And a 4.40-meter successor to the Delta is planned for 2028.
This is a powerful hatchback model that is expected to delight car fans throughout Europe. With these three models, Lancia covers around 50 percent of the market.
Swiss alignment still unclear
In the first stage, a network of around 100 authorized dealers will be established in 60 major European cities. Lancia expects around 50 percent of all purchases to be made online.
How the traditional Italian brand intends to realign itself in Switzerland is currently not explained in detail.
