This is 1.5 percent more than in the prior-year period and accounts for a market share of 21 percent. The bestseller is the Granta with 108,686 units, sales of which were up 35.1 percent on the previous year.
New car for the price of a used car
The Granta is a new car for the price of a used one. It starts at just under 8,000 francs, for which the buyer gets the version with notchback and 87 hp in standard equipment called Norma.
At the top, the scale ends with the luxury version called Luxus and idiosyncratically proportioned hatchback at just under 13,000 francs. The four-cylinder 1.6 liter then has 16 valves and 98 hp. The luxury always has an automatic transmission. Only a navigation system is not available.
Study 4×4 as a Vision Concept
In Europe, the brand, which belongs to the Renault Group, is officially taking a break from next year. Whether the classic 4×4 off-road vehicle - better known as the Niva - will continue to be imported as a small series is still open.
The Russian all-wheel-drive legend could soon be relaunched. Drawings of the 4×4 Vision Concept study are making the rounds these weeks. According to rumors, the brand has been working on a new generation for some time now!
