The DXP model form the backbone of the Australian electric delivery fleet. Each of these vehicles is equipped to transport over 100 small parcels and up to 1200 letters.

Australia Post expects small parcels from online retailers to grow by as much as 20 percent this year. And this flood must and will be managed.

In Queensland alone, 182 electric tricycles from Switzerland are already in use, and more are being built every day.

Less greenhouse gas emissions
The switch from postal motorcycles to the new electric DXP not only reduces greenhouse gas emissions, but also significantly increases the safety of delivery staff thanks to high stability.

Angela Creedon (Australia Post General Manager Deliveries Queensland) says: "The electric tricycle delivery vehicles can carry three times more than our traditional postal motorcycle, and this extra capacity is timely as Christmas approaches."

The Head of Purchasing, Logistics and Production at Kyburz AG is pleased about the interest shown by the Australians.

Fabian Hächler: "Currently, two sea freight containers filled with DXP leave the production plant in Embrach for Australia every day."

Delivery vehicles are in daily use at postal operations in Europe. In addition to Switzerland, they are also used in Iceland, Norway and Finland.
