The 180-hp gasoline Jeep Renegade sold particularly well in Switzerland after its facelift.

All models contributed to the brand's growth, starting with the Renegade, which increased registrations by 50 percent thanks to new engines (in particular the 180 hp petrol engine) and a facelift. The Wrangler grew by 13 percent and the Grand Cherokee stabilized at over 1,200 registrations and number three in the large SUV segment.

To achieve this volume, the network grew from 37 to 47 dealers. This means that Jeep primarily covers the supply in rural areas.

Growing demand for pickups
And nothing stands in the way of the brand's success this year either. With an SUV line comprising five model variants, Jeep is adapting to the demands in this segment with the introduction of the PHEV Compass and Renegade in mid-2020.

With the pickup segment growing, the all-wheel-drive professionals are expecting another year of growth in Switzerland with the launch of the Wrangler Gladiator at the end of 2020.

Brand-specific requirements
The future strategy of Jeep and the FCA Group (Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Abarth, Fiat Professional, Lancia and Mopar) includes not only the development of models taking into account brand-specific requirements for electrification, but also a special team that brings this technology closer to customers.

Among other things, FCA is developing an automotive ecosystem that makes it possible to use an electric or hybrid vehicle in everyday life in a convenient, sustainable and affordable way.

Advice and services
As part of this strategy, it is also necessary to conclude cooperation agreements, as has already been done with Enel X, Engie, Terna, Transatel, Lexis Nexis and Generali, among others.

The aim is to enable potential customers to choose the best electric or hybrid vehicle for them and to offer accompanying services.
