IAA Mobility 2023: Porsche 911 as a sculpture as tall as a house
THERE'S STILL MORE To the nearest centimeter, a 911 built by Porsche for the IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich (until September 10) is 38 meters long, 15.60 meters wide and 7.50 meters high.
The reusable roof construction is a tribute to the sports car icon: Because exactly 60 years ago, the 911 also celebrated its premiere at the IAA (then still in Frankfurt). The leitmotif of the Porsche stand in the bustling center of Munich is the 60th anniversary of the 911.
Symbol for many stories
Ragnar Schulte, Head of Experiential Marketing at Porsche: "The 911 is world-famous for its unique silhouette. For us, this sculpture is above all a symbol of the many stories and experiences of enthusiasts, fans and customers that have shaped the 911 worldwide. With its appearance, Porsche wants to make a contribution to making the IAA attractive - our concept goes beyond that of a classic trade show booth."
911 S/T, Taycan and Mission X
On display at the stand is the latest 911 variant, the special 911 S/T model limited to 1963 units (left gallery). Next to the Taycan (center gallery) is the Porsche Mission X (right gallery). The concept car is a reinterpretation of a hypercar with Le Mans doors that open upward and a newly developed electric drive.
