IAA 2021: Microlino, Rosberg and Detroit 🎥
REVIEW The great festival of mobility has been celebrated. The IAA Mobility concept of bringing the car onto the road in Munich has proven its worth. Over 400,000 participants experienced the mobile world of tomorrow. If you didn't make it to the Isar this year, no problem, AutoSprintCH [...]
If you didn't make it to the Isar this year, no problem, AutoSprintCH shows you important innovations, what ex-Formula 1 driver Nico Rosberg thinks of electromobility and you can look forward to a special kind of driving report.
The Microlini goes into series production next year
Almost all exhibitors had real highlights to offer. E-mobility everywhere, smart and far-sighted, many start-ups, niche products, but also the real superstars of the e-mobility scene: Mercedes EQE and EQS, Renault Megane E-Tech electric, BMW i4 and many more.
And the fact that the Swiss Microlino will soon be available to buy is really good news from the IAA (gallery left).
Test drive with Grandma Duck's electric coupé
A beloved vintage electric car from 1918. Colleagues were able to experience the Detroit Electric model, which Grandma Duck also drove around in the comics (gallery on the right), on a short drive around the exhibition grounds.
At that time, the vehicles already had a range of 120 to 150 kilometers, were between 20 and 30 km/h fast and had a lot to offer in terms of comfort, as you can see in the video. Have fun watching.
The world champion's heart beats electrically
A big stage at the IAA Mobility for the 2016 Formula 1 World Champion. Today, Nico Rosberg (center gallery) is far removed from petrol and diesel engines in his mind; his heart beats electrically. And that's how it should be, in every conceivable future.
If Nico Rosberg has his way, every combustion car in the world is one too many. The entrepreneur is a pioneer and driver of electromobility. At the IAA Mobility, he is calling for a much faster transition to future technologies.
Nico Rosberg: "We now have the fascinating opportunity to leave old mobility behind us and improve on it. It's great what's happening at the moment. I see electric, electric, electric - but we still have 1.2 billion combustion engines on the roads worldwide." But listen for yourself.
744 exhibitors and 936 speakers from 32 countries
According to the organizers, the first IAA Mobility in Munich was a great success. Organizers, visitors and exhibitors are very satisfied with the new concept. 744 exhibitors and 936 speakers from 32 countries were represented at the trade fair and presented and discussed their innovations and visions for the climate-neutral mobility of the future.
67 percent of visitors were under 40 years old. 86 percent of visitors rated the concept of the trade fair as good and very good. The mix of exhibitors and the opportunity to test new products directly were rated particularly positively.
A clear vote with your feet
The international media reach of the IAA Mobility 2021 amounted to more than 137 billion views worldwide. The 140 million page impressions were recorded by the organizer's social media channels.
Their contributions have been viewed more than 38 million times on youtube and TikTok alone.
Hildegard Müller, President of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), which organized the IAA MOBILITY together with Messe München for the first time this year: "400,000 participants in just six days is a clear vote with the feet."
That means we'll see each other again from September 5 to 10, 2023. On the net or on the Isar.
