Breathtaking design meets incredible dynamics in Cupra's Urban Rebel Concept.

Racing is in Cupra's DNA. That's why the company decided to present its vision of an all-electric city car first as a race car with a bold and edgy look.

Shark nose and imposing rear spoiler
As a racing car with an extreme look, the road version will be based on the Volkswagen Group's short modular e-drive system. With an overall length of 4.08 meters, a width of 1.80 meters and a height of 1.44 meters, the study provides a preview of the proportions of the electric city car of the future.

Elements of the motorsport concept car will be incorporated, but important elements have been changed to give the vehicle its rebellious character.

Particularly eye-catching are the shark nose and the rear with the imposing spoiler, which is inspired by the racing cars of the video game world.

Urban electric vehicle interpretation
For Cupra CEO Wayne Griffiths, the UrbanRebel Concept is a radical interpretation of the urban electric vehicle set to hit the market in 2025.

Wayne Griffiths: "This racing concept gives an insight into the design language of the city car of the future and will also inspire it. The urban electric vehicle is a key strategic project - not just for our company, but for the entire Group. Indeed, our goal is to manufacture more than 500,000 electric city cars per year for the various Group brands in Martorell. The urban electric car will democratize e-mobility and make it accessible to the masses."

From 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds
The Cupra Urban Rebel Concept has a continuous output of 250 kW (340 hp) and a peak output of up to 320 kW (435 hp), with which it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds.

The little runabout will be shown for the first time during the IAA Mobility 2021 at the pre-opening event of the new Cupra City Garage in Munich.
