IAA
One of the highlights at the last IAA was the presentation of the all-electric Opel Corsa-e.

In addition to the current location in Frankfurt am Main, Berlin, Hamburg, Hanover, Cologne and Munich, as well as Stuttgart, can also imagine hosting the motor show from 2021.

Presentations this week
The applicants will present their concepts to the industry association in a non-public meeting this week. The VDA board will then decide who to continue talks with. The final announcement on the future location will then be made in the next few months.

Change in trade fair activities
Last fall, the VDA, as the organizer of the International Motor Show, put the traditional location of Frankfurt up for discussion. The reasons are the changes both in the industry itself and in the trade show activities of the manufacturers.

The VDA therefore believes that a new IAA concept is necessary, one that should involve the public more and emphasize the experiential character. The current contract with Messe Frankfurt for the past four events expired at the end of last year.
