With its world premiere at the IAA, the new Porsche Cayenne Turbo takes over the top spot in the model series. The four-liter V8 biturbo engine produces 404 kW/550 hp. The new Cayenne Turbo accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds (3.9 seconds with Sport Chrono package) and reaches a top speed of 286 km/h (factory specification)
New design
Standard 21-inch wheels reserved for the top model in the widened wheel arches with painted wheel arch trims characterize the side view. Differentiating features at the rear are the Turbo-specific twin tailpipes. The door side trims and the lower rear section are painted in the exterior color. Almost all vehicle functions can be displayed and operated via the high-resolution displays and touchscreens of the Porsche Advanced Cockpit.
Sophisticated chassis
The adaptive air suspension uses three air chambers per strut. The suspension is thus able to reproduce three different spring rates. They are also actively controlled via five new driving programs for on-road and off-road driving. With six selectable ride height levels, ground clearance can be manually adapted to the terrain. At the same time, everyday usability during parking and turning maneuvers as well as comfort are improved.
Soon on the market
The new Cayenne Turbo is available to order now, with market launch in Europe at the end of 2017. In Switzerland, the top model in the SUV series costs 169,500 Swiss francs including VAT and country-specific equipment. Swiss customers also benefit from a warranty extension (2 + 2) and the contents of the Porsche Swiss Package, which are included at no extra charge.
New center in St. Gallen
Last weekend also saw the opening of the new Porsche Center St. Gallen (Zürcher Strasse 511). A new two-story building with a display area of 1300 square meters - space for more than 20 vehicles - was built on a total area of over 5000 square meters. Mechanics work at eleven modern maintenance and repair stations on 800 square meters. In addition, the site was prepared for electrified sports cars such as the Porsche Mission E.
