With the Concept EQA, the manufacturer shows how the EQ strategy can be transferred to the compact class. The electric vehicle has one electric motor each on the front and rear axles with a system output of over 200 kW.
Forerunner
The Concept EQ at the 2016 Paris Motor Show was the harbinger of the new EQ product and technology brand - a study with the look of a sporty SUV coupe. Now the manufacturer is showing what an EQ model in the compact segment could look like. One example of the new aesthetic is the light technology with laser fibers. Here, a laser-active medium is embedded in the center of an optical light guide.
Electric Power
Two electric motors, whose system output can be increased to over 200 kW thanks to scalable battery components according to the factory, and permanent all-wheel drive provide the propulsion. The two driving programs "Sport" and "Sport Plus" offer a different torque distribution between front and rear, allowing the choice of an individual driving characteristic.
Virtual grill
The black panel at the front acts as a virtual grille and changes its appearance depending on the driving program. In the "Sport" driving program, the grille depicts a glowing wing in horizontal format, while the "Sport Plus" mode shows vertical struts in the style of a Panamericana grille.
High range planned
In combination with the operating strategy, the Concept EQA achieves a range of around 400 km depending on the battery capacity installed. Thanks to the modular design, the battery systems have a total capacity of over 60 kWh. The Concept EQA can be charged via induction or wallbox and is also prepared for fast charging.
