One of the highlights at Seat's IAA stand will be the limited edition of 799 units of the Leon Cupra R, the Spanish manufacturer's most powerful road-going vehicle to date within the VW Group.

Over the past four years, the Spanish car manufacturer has achieved growth of 30 percent. Last year alone, the company sold almost 410,000 units and achieved its best operating result to date with a profit of 143 million euros.

Limited edition
The new Leon Cupra R is the most powerful road car in the company's history to date with 310 hp/228 kW in the manual version. It will also be the brand's most exclusive, as production is limited to 799 units. The body features a number of details such as carbon elements: The lightweight material is clearly visible on the front and rear spoilers, decorative side skirts and the rear diffuser.

Starting signal for the Arona
The Arona is set to deliver another highlight: With its latest model, the Spanish manufacturer is entering the compact crossover SUV segment for the first time. Orders for the vehicle will be accepted from September 12 and the first models will be delivered to customers at the end of November. The starting prices for the Swiss market and for Germany will be announced at the IAA.

Final choice of name
The public vote on the name for Seat's large SUV has also raised high expectations. From the IAA until September 25, anyone can vote for their favorite name, which was previously selected for the final, at seat.com/seekingname.

Alexa is coming
The brand will be the first car manufacturer in Europe to integrate Amazon's interactive voice assistant "Alexa" into its vehicles. The system will be available in the Leon and Ateca at the end of the year and in the Ibiza and Arona next year. In Frankfurt, the company will also be exhibiting the Ibiza 1.0 TGI to underline its confidence in compressed natural gas (CNG) as a clean and efficient fuel.
