IAA 2016: Hyundai shows hydrogen transporter

Hyundai is presenting the H350 Fuel Cell Concept at the IAA Commercial Vehicles Hanover 2016. The concept study takes a look into the future. It demonstrates the potential and possibilities of Hyundai's advanced fuel cell technology in the light commercial vehicle segment. Concept: The intelligent arrangement of the drive components ensures that the full loading capacity is retained. Depending on the wheelbase, up to five Euro pallets can be loaded or up to 14 passengers can be transported.

Unlike conventional electric vehicles with long battery charging times, the 175-liter hydrogen tank in the H350 Fuel Cell Concept can be filled in less than four minutes - just like a gasoline- or diesel-powered vehicle. The vehicle has a range of 422 kilometers and only water vapor (H2O) escapes as emissions while driving.

The fuel cell drive achieves an output of 136 hp and a torque of 300 Nm, which - as with a light commercial vehicle with a comparable combustion engine - enables a top speed of up to 150 km/h with significantly lower noise emissions.
