With a storage capacity of 35 kilograms of hydrogen, the seven hydrogen tanks in each truck provide a range of more than 400 kilometers. The trucks produce the equivalent of around 258 hp each on the road.

Xcient
By 2025, around 1600 Hyundai H2 Xcient are expected to be rolling on Swiss roads every day in delivery service.

Launch with joint venture
In parallel, Hyundai and Hydrospider have established the joint venture Hyundai Hydrogen Mobility (HHM) for the production and distribution of hydrogen. Hydrospider is a joint venture between Linde, Swiss utility Alpiq and hydrogen specialist H2 Energy.

Gösgen hydropower plant supplies electricity
From the end of the year, the hydrogen required to operate the fuel cells will be produced in a new 20 MW electrolysis plant, which will draw the necessary electricity from Alpiq's Gösgen hydroelectric power station. The power plant itself has already been generating CO2-free electricity for over 100 years.
