Two more electric models of this brand based on the E-GMP (means Electric Global Modular Platform) platform are to be presented by 2024. The E-GMP enables novel proportions with a long wheelbase and correspondingly large interior space.
The timeless body design with the striking diagonal bead on the side is not only intended to be very distinctive, but also to bridge the gap between the past and the future. The car measures 4.64 meters in length, the wheelbase exactly three meters.

Fabrics woven from fibers of recycled bottles
The seats are covered with a leather that has been dyed and treated with plant oil extracts. Other upholstery consists of textiles made from fibers such as sugar cane, wool and plant-based yarns.
Fabrics woven from fibers of recycled PET bottles are also used. Surfaces such as the dashboard, switches, steering wheel and door panels are coated with a polyurethane biolacquer obtained from rapeseed and corn oil.

Four drive variants and all-wheel drive to choose from
There is a choice of four drive configurations for the Ioniq 5. The top engine configuration consists of a 155-kW rear engine and a 70-kW front engine.
In conjunction with the 72 kWh battery, this variant has a range of around 480 kilometers and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds. Together with the 58 kWh battery, the motors produce 120 and 53 kW, and 100 km/h is reached after 6.1 seconds.
With the small battery, the engine then has an output of 125 kW, with the large one 160 kW. All versions offer torques of 350 Nm (rear motor) and 255 Nm (front motor).

Charging power for 100 kilometers in five minutes
The Ioniq 5 charges at both 400-volt and 800-volt charging stations. At a 350-kW fast charging station, the battery can be charged from ten to 80 percent in just 18 minutes. Electricity for 100 kilometers can be charged in five minutes.
In addition to the 800-volt system for particularly fast charging, the newcomer also offers the vehicle-to-load function, which allows the driver to use the battery power inside and outside the vehicle. Furthermore, the Ioniq 5 impresses with many connectivity and driving assistance systems.
