What's more, together with Jeannine Blunier (Garage Blunier, Bern) and Christophe Bortolotti (Garage Tanguy Micheloud, Sion), the Honda team from Switzerland also won the team ranking and Jeannine Blunier achieved the best result of all participants in the "Diagnostics" discipline.
Examinations at the Honda Academy
760 participants from 16 European countries took part in the national pre-selections. The 48 best Honda technicians traveled to the Honda Academy in Erlensee, Germany, to put their skills to the test at six work stations with practical and theoretical challenges. Pierre Leibundgut will represent Switzerland and Europe at the competition for the world's best Honda technicians in Japan in May 2019.
Result surprised the winner
The 34-year-old car mechanic from Paco Garage SA in Delémont accepts the trophy calmly: "I was probably the most surprised of all. But of course I'm very happy about this award, for me personally, but above all for Paco Garage and for Honda Suisse. They are the ones who made this training and this experience possible for me."
