With over 700 apprentices (and thus around 13 percent of all employees), AMAG is one of the largest training centers in Switzerland.
Various apprenticed professions
AMAG offers twelve different apprenticeships - from carrossier to automotive mechatronics technician to IT specialist. It is therefore important to the mobility services provider that all apprentices receive a flawless start to their vocational training.
Introduction by the management
Every year, all new apprentices from all over Switzerland attend an introductory event - the AMAG Welcome Camp. This took place last Friday, August 4, in the Umweltarena in Spreitenbach. A total of 253 apprentices took part; 183 apprentices from German-speaking Switzerland, 61 from French-speaking Switzerland and 9 from Ticino.
Welcome and tour
At the beginning, the young people were welcomed by the management. Morten Hannesbo, CEO of AMAG, Bernhard Soltermann, Managing Director of AMAG Import and COO, and Jost Eggenberger, Managing Director of AMAG Retail, talked about their AMAG careers and addressed the apprentices with motivational words. This was followed by a post run in which topics such as organization, corporate divisions, philosophy and team spirit were dealt with in a playful manner. A visit to the Parts Logistics Center in Buchs ZH, the largest AMAG spare parts warehouse in Switzerland, rounded off the program.
