Gran Turismo Challenge: Racing Tour before the cinema release 🎥
BEING THERE IS EVERYTHING Until the release of "Gran Turismo Challenge: The Movie Tour" on August 10, racers can experience the racing feeling of a movie in racing simulators and qualify for the final in Zurich.
Here's how the action plays out: Racing fans can compete in racing simulators and win a Logitech G29 Driving Force steering wheel and a voucher to visit a Fusion Arena Virtual Reality Center per qualifying location. Participants will race in Gran Turismo 7 on a PS5 console in VR mode using Playstation VR2 goggles and the Logitech G29.
The virtual races are moderated by Massimo Sena, who runs his own racing league with almost 300 members with his Spartan Racing Team. The fastest are continuously published with their driven time.
Fastest drivers start in Zurich
Per tour location, the fastest rider qualifies for the finals at the beginning of August in the Arena Cinemas Zurich. The six finalists are supported by two former Swiss GT Academy drivers: Tim Grossenbacher (center left gallery) qualified for the semifinals in Le Castellet, France, in 2011, and Rolf Ueltschi even made it to the boot camp in Silverstone in 2012, where he was one of six finalists to take part in his first real race.
The next venues are
- Arena Cinemas Freiburg (May 27)
- Arena Cinemas Geneva (May 28)
- Swiss Classic World Lucerne (June 3 and 4)
- Game Soul Baden (June 10 and 11)
- Züri Fäscht (July 8 and 9)

Gamer becomes real professional racing driver
The film tells the dream of a young Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills earned him victories in several Nissan competitions - and who went on to become a real-life professional racing driver. Following the worldwide success of Uncharted, Gran Turismo is Playstation Productions' second feature film production.
Neill Blomkamp directed from a screenplay by Jason Hall and Zach Baylin. The film was produced by Doug Belgrad, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan and Dana Brunetti. It stars David Harbour, Orlando Bloom, Archie Madekwe, Darren Barnet, Geri Halliwell Horner and Djimon Hounsou.
