Coilovers: Making the Mustang Mach-E real fun
DYNAMICS AND COMFORT The V3 coilover suspension from KW is now available for the all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E with all-wheel drive. The heavy electric car benefits in particular from the multi-valve dampers used.
The five-door Ford Mustang Mach-E is a pure electric car. Apart from the name and some design elements, however, it has nothing in common with the Mustang, which has been built in six generations since 1964. But the Mach-E is also fun to drive.
The KW V3 coilover suspension is now available for it. Due to the KW multi-valve dampers used in the coilover suspension, the heavy vehicle benefits particularly in terms of driving dynamics and ride comfort. Even at fast cornering speeds, the suspension brings more peace to the high SUV body.
Lowering from 20 to 45 millimeters
The KW dampers with their two-stage multi-valve technology are manually adjustable in the low-speed compression stage and rebound stage. The parts certificate covers a stepless lowering of 25 to 45 millimeters at the front axle and 20 to 40 millimeters at the rear axle.
KW suspension specialist Florian Johann: "In all our road applications, we follow the tuning philosophy of always designing a suspension to be as comfortable as possible and as firm as necessary. To avoid having to make any major compromises in this respect, we rely on multi-stage damper valves for our suspensions with adjustable damper characteristics."
KW Automotive lists 3185 Swiss francs as the recommended price.
