Formentor is the name of the sporty crossover with a striking rear end design. However, it is still declared as a study for the time being. The Formentor is a plug-in hybrid that has an electric range of up to 50 kilometers according to WLTP (up to around 70 kilometers according to NEDC).
Sales increase by 40 percent
Since its launch, the brand has impressively demonstrated its potential in the market - in 2018, sales figures rose by 40 percent year-on-year, with a total of 14,400 vehicles sold. The stated goal is to double sales over the next three to five years. Following the successful launch of the first model, the Cupra Ateca, this goal has moved a little closer with the unveiling of the Cupra Formentor.
Differential lock and sport seats
The Formentor's system output is 245 hp (180 kW), which is transmitted to the wheels via a dual-clutch transmission. A differential lock and sports seats with their carbon-fiber-look backrests also contribute to the sporty driving experience. The digital cockpit can be individually configured.
The Swiss market launch, equipment as well as prices have not yet been determined.
