The model of the four rings represents the fifth electric production vehicle that Audi will present by the end of 2020. The all-wheel drive vehicle is powered by two electric motors with a combined system output of 225 (306 PS). The Q4 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds and reaches its top speed at 180 km/h.
Technology from the Group's modular system
A large-format battery takes up almost the entire area between the axles in the underbody area. The technology of the Q4 e-tron concept is provided by the modular electrification toolkit (MEB), which can be found in the Volkswagen Group's electric cars, from the compact class to the mid-range (AutoSprint CH reported).
The battery in the vehicle floor stores 82 kilowatt hours, which corresponds to a range of more than 450 kilometers according to the WLTP standard.
Plenty of legroom without gimbal tunnel
4.59 meters long, 1.90 meters wide and 1.61 meters high: the dimensions of the Q4 e-tron concept place it in the upper third of the compact class. Its wheelbase of 2.77 meters, however, places it at least one class higher in terms of interior space. As there is no cardan tunnel to restrict the space, the Q4 e-tron concept offers plenty of room, especially legroom at the front and particularly in the rear.
The generous feeling of space is underlined by the color scheme. Light, warm tones dominate the upper area of the cabin, while dark carpeting contrasts with this in the floor area.
Wheels in the striking 22-inch format
The emphasis on the sill area between the axles, where the power center of this SUV is located with the battery, is typical e-tron. Large 22-inch wheels leave no doubt about the potential of the Audi Q4. The wide light strip at the rear, which connects the two light units and thus also shows an element of the Audi e-tron, is striking.
