Swiss industry has even gained sympathy
After all, 80 percent of survey participants say they are not influenced by the negative reports. 62 percent trust the automotive industry just as much today as they did last year. For 18 percent, the industry has even gained in sympathy over the past year compared to 2016. The reasons are equally the innovations of the manufacturers and the new car models.

Cars trigger positive feelings in the Schweizer family
In principle, the Swiss have a positive attitude toward cars. For example, 44 percent of respondents find the automotive industry likeable to very likeable. For 27 percent of respondents, cars trigger positive feelings or are even a status symbol for them. Only 1.3 percent explicitly mention negative feelings toward cars.

Enthusiasm the Geneva Motor Show also for the future
Confidence in cars is also reflected in attitudes toward the Geneva Motor Show. Every second Swiss finds the industry gathering positive or is even enthusiastic about the Motor Show. Four-fifths of the survey participants are convinced that the mega-event will still be around in ten years. Over 1000 people from all parts of the country were surveyed.
