Geneva 2016: Opel presents an electric five-seater

Opel will launch the Ampera-e as a new electric car next year. Compared with the previous Ampera, which has been discontinued, it offers more space with more compact dimensions. Equipment: The Ampera-e will have the Opel OnStar online and service assistant on board and feature the new generation of IntelliLink infotainment systems.

 

The four-seater will become a five-seater, and the trunk will have compact-class dimensions. Opel also promises a longer range than most other electric cars. As in the case of the Ampera, the basis comes from the Group's sister company Chevrolet and the Bolt, which is also to be launched on the U.S. market in 2017 but only has four seats. Chevrolet quotes a range of 200 miles, which would correspond to around 320 kilometers.
