Geneva 2016: New profiles and rally pros at Yokohama

Automotive racing has a long tradition at the Japanese tire manufacturer Yokohama. In Europe, the company is active in rallying, especially in France and Italy. Jospeed rally teams: Valais driver Joël Rappaz and co-driver Katja Totschnig go hunting for points.

This is now changing with the sponsorship of the Jospeed rally team of Valais driver Joël Rappaz and his co-driver Katja Totschnig, which was presented at the Geneva Motor Show (until March 13 at Palexpo). Earlier this year, Yokohama and Jospeed signed a three-year sponsorship agreement. During this time, the team will wear the Yokohama colors on its rally car, a Peugeot 207 S2000, and chase the car around the tracks on ADVAN A051T rally tires. The car was built by Balbosca, a company specializing in rally cars.

Miss Yokohama presents important novelties
Yokohama Rubber is showing other interesting new products in Geneva: The off-road tire Geolandar A/T G015, specially developed for SUVs, the high-performance tire Advan Fleva V701 for particularly sporty ambitious pilots and the ADVAN A052, successor to the A048, a profile for sporty everyday use. The manufacturer is also presenting its FC Chelsea tire. This was produced on the basis of the environmentally friendly tire "BluEarth-A AE50". This tire is particularly quiet, contains orange oil from renewable resources to reduce the amount of petroleum in the rubber compound. Due to its low weight and running resistance, it is particularly fuel-efficient.

In addition to the complete tire program, Yokohama will provide another highlight. Miss Yokohama, Roxane Baumann, will be handing out autographs, posing for photos and answering questions from trade fair visitors.
