E-Prix Bern: Joy at the DS importer

You have to celebrate the festivities as they fall. For DS Automobiles Switzerland, there was reason to do so even before the Swiss E-Prix. With Jean-Eric Vergne and DS Techeetah, the leading team in the driver and team standings came to Bern.
In the E-Village in the old town, which is open to the public, the Swiss importer took this opportunity to present the currently fastest Gen2 racing car, the DS E-Tense FE19, and the DS Crossback E-Tense for the road at close quarters to the general public.
Increase awareness
Above all, the Managing Director of DS Automobiles Switzerland was delighted with his company's great performance at the Swiss E-Prix, which Vergne crowned with victory.
Thomas Odier: "Our brand has never been so well known in Switzerland. This race gives us the best opportunity to present ourselves. Now we have models that are truly 100% DS. From 2018, we will launch a new model on the market every year."
Sino-French alliance
Although DS Techeetah is a Chinese team, it is managed by Europeans. And the racing car features electric drive technology from DS Automobiles.
Thomas Odier: "DS has been involved in Formula E for four years, driving forward technical development and benefiting the series. This meant that we didn't have to develop on two tracks and, after four years, we can put the E-Tense on the road."

Now the team title is also up for grabs
After the victory in Bern, the Director of DS Switzerland and the British DS Techeetah Team Principal have only one wish left.
Mark Preston: "Last year, we won the drivers' title with Vergne. But the team title, which is just as important for DS as a manufacturer, slipped through our fingers at the last moment (to Audi Sport ABT Schaffler, editor's note). We want to avoid that this year. As we have a second top driver in André Lotterer, who is always in the mix in the leading group, we should actually be able to do that now."
Final in Brooklyn
The New York City E-Prix, the finale of the FIA Formula E Championship, will take place on July 12 and 13 with two races on a circuit in Brooklyn. From the sixth season in 2019/2020, Formula E, like Formula 1 and WRC, will receive the official world championship title. Only then can it officially be referred to as a world championship.
