At the Abyss by Rafel Gschwend Ford Video Award
The protagonists in Rafael Gschwend's film "Am Abgrund" are literally on the edge.

Numerous filmmakers submitted their short films to the Ford Video Award. The jury of experts was amazed by the creativity and the high level of the films. The task was anything but simple: a video of no more than 55 seconds in length should prevent people from using their smartphones while driving. The ideas of the young filmmakers are diverse: a couple hanging in a car on a cliff over a precipice, a car that drives away from its owner who is on the phone by itself, an SUV that has electric shocks and other inconveniences in store, devils and angels on the back seat or the bitter end of a Snapchat session.

The best five films are now vying for the favor of the online audience. Selecting them was the difficult task of the expert jury. It is chaired by actor and Prix Walo winner Leonardo Nigro, with singer and songwriter Anna Känzig, presenter Andreas Pauli and Ford's social media expert Patricia Dürst as other members.

And here you can go to the films:
Don't text and drive from Project Axel Foley
Eyes on the Road by Thomas Smith and f/rec
New flame from Mattes Films
Do not take the chance from Adelfy Pictures
On the precipice by youstream Rafael Gschwend
