According to the market research institute IHS Markit1 , a total of 80,577 units were sold worldwide in 2020. This sales figure accounts for 15.1 percent of the sports coupe market, compared with 14.8 percent in the previous year. Performance variants in particular, such as the Ford Mustang Bullitt, were responsible for the good sales result.
Continuation with limited models
In 2020, Ford sold around 7000 units of the model in Europe. Ford wants to continue its success with limited models like the new Ford Mustang Mach 1.
This will feature evolved handling and a number of performance enhancements, as well as a design reminiscent of the legendary Mach 1 Mustangs of the 1960s and 1970s. Deliveries to customers in Europe will begin shortly.
