Ford: F 150 electric lifts ten wagons 🎥
POWERFUL AND SILENT Ford is planning an all-electric version of the F-150 pickup truck. In a recently published video, the manufacturer documented how well the electric motor could suit the all-wheeler. The Ford pick-up pulls ten double-decker wagons weighing 450 tons over 305 meters. The film is, of course, a marketing campaign with an ulterior motive: the distance covered corresponds to the length of 42 pick-ups lined up in a row, because the F-150 has now been the best-selling pick-up on the brand's home market for 42 years.
Tesla is also planning a pick-up
However, this supremacy could come under threat in the medium term. Numerous smaller manufacturers have announced their intention to launch electric pickups on the market in the near future. The Rivian R1T, which has been announced for the end of 2020, seems to be the closest to market launch, and the start-ups Workhorse and Atlis also have models in development. Tesla is also planning a corresponding model that quite openly takes aim at the F-150.

Plug-in hybrid on sale from 2020
A pick-up hybrid from Ford is coming onto the market faster than an all-electric version. The plug-in hybrid is to be available as early as 2020. The purely battery-powered model is planned for an unspecified later date.
