At the same time, it enables even sportier roadholding and ensures greater driving safety at the dynamic limits. The aftermarket suspension, which can be tuned in the low-speed and high-speed compression forces and the low-speed rebound stage, now no longer has an expansion tank.
The BMW M3 and M4 models, which are already lowered in the series, can be lowered up to 35 millimeters further by installing the KW variant four.
Variant 4 is the optimal retrofit chassis
If the M3 or the M4 is mainly driven on public roads in everyday use, the coilover suspension variant 4 is the ideal aftermarket suspension.
The M4 GTS production chassis still used an expansion tank. For the next-generation Variant 4, the entire damper setup was modified.
Adjustable valves in compact valve body
The separately adjustable valves are now located in a compact valve housing on the side of the shock absorber and on the shock absorber housing for the rear axle.
The damping in the high-speed compression stage can be adjusted with 14 clicks via the gold-colored adjustment wheel and the damping characteristics in the low-speed compression stage with 13 clicks via the purple-colored wheel.
