Professional certificate: Two women among the best

Ambassador of the industry
Matthias Krummen, Head of Management Services and Communications at ESA: "You can use your knowledge to work in an exciting industry. You are the ambassadors for your industry and can make a mark with your degree and experience."
On behalf of the purchasing cooperative, Matthias Krummen handed over a check for 20,000 Swiss francs to AGVS Executive Board member Olivier Maeder. This amount will be used to promote the training of young professionals in the future.
Two women among the graduates
Among the automotive diagnosticians and automotive workshop coordinators were two women, Joëlle Kelhofer from Root LU and Orianne Alter from Fionnay VS.
Orianne Alter: "I feel very comfortable in the industry. I don't understand why we don't have more women graduating."
Career start at the Sauber Group
The top scorers, who were awarded a special prize, had particular cause for celebration among the successful specialists. Among the automotive workshop coordinators, these were Nathanael Baumgartner from Thierachern BE and Jeremias Kern from Lyss BE with a grade of 5.0.
André Vaz Mendes from La Tour-de-Peilz VD and his colleague Roman Giger from Richenthal LU came out on top with a score of 5.0 and 5.5 respectively.
The German-speaking Swiss made it clear what potential the two-year continuing education program offers for careers.
Roman Giger: "I have now landed in Formula 1 and was able to start with the Sauber Group in Hinwil. In the near future, I will therefore probably be on the road all over the world. I'm really looking forward to the new season with the Alfa Romeo Racing team."
Expert at the EuroSkills 2020
In the commercial vehicle sector, Florian Berger from Matten near Interlaken BE with a grade of 5.3 and Jean Trotti from Noréaz FR with a grade of 5.4 finished best. The automotive diagnostician from Fribourg had already shone in 2015 at the World Vocational Championships in Sao Paulo (Brazil) with a ninth place.
Jean Trotti: "The World Skills were a great experience. I am therefore very pleased that I will be able to travel to Graz as an expert to the EuroSkills in September. My goal is to become a workshop manager at some point."
