The GTI meeting, to which many fans from Switzerland also travel, was cancelled without replacement.

Tuning World Bodensee cannot take place in the planned period from April 30 to May 3, 2020. Exhibitors, visitors and participating partners are currently being informed.

Klaus Wellmann, Managing Director of the organizer Messe Friedrichshafen: "We would have loved to celebrate the 18th anniversary of the trade fair event with the entire Tuning World community. Unfortunately, we have to postpone the party until next year."

Official cancellation of the GTI meeting
The decree of the Austrian federal government that (major) events must be cancelled by the beginning of April is being taken by the organizers of the 2020 GTI Meeting as an opportunity to cancel the event on Lake Wörthersee from May 20 to 23, 2020.

Markus Perdacher, mayor of the central venue Reifnitz: "The date of the meeting is still a few weeks ahead, but we would now enter the intensive preparation phase - with an uncertain outcome. The money for purchased ticket will be refunded."

New York Auto Show new in August
Organizers of the New York International Auto Show have decided to postpone the event from April to August 2020 due to concerns about the coronavirus outbreak. Press days will be held on August 26 and 27, and the show at the Jakob Javits Center will be open to the public from August 28 to September 6, 2020.

Mark Schienberg, president of the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association, said, "We have been in contact with many of our exhibitors and partners and are confident that the show will be a successful event on the new date."

Techno Classica Essen not until June
The 32nd Techno Classica in Essen should have taken place from March 25 to 29. It has been postponed to June 24-28, provided that the measures against the spread and effects of the coronavirus have been eased or subsided by then.

It is the world's largest exhibition for vintage, classic & prestige cars, motorsports, motorcycles, spare parts, restoration and world club meeting. In 2019, it was visited by more than 190,000 people from 46 nations.
