At this year's EurotaxAward, Skoda's Octavia emerged as the winner in the "Business" category.

The Škoda Octavia won the EurotaxAward as the most stable value passenger car model in Switzerland at this annual event. The bestseller took 1st place in the "Business" category. With the Fabia in second place in the "City" category, a second model from the manufacturer made it onto the podium.

Fleet suitability
A high residual value and resale value of a vehicle is already an important decision criterion when buying a new car and has a positive impact on lower total cost of ownership (TCO), particularly in the fleet sector. Here, the Skoda Octavia scored clearly. Not only does the vehicle regularly achieve high new car registration figures, but the value retention of this model has also remained stable over the years. This has a positive effect in the fleet sector, where the total cost of ownership is crucial.

Categories
The three used cars with the most stable value in each of the three most important consumer categories - city, business and SUV - made it into the final rankings for the award. Three-year-old used cars with a significant supply and sales volume, standard equipment and a mileage of 50,000 km are taken into account.

Best second hand dealer
At the event, AMAG Occasions Center Zürich won the first EurotaxAward for the best used car dealer in Switzerland. In principle, all dealers who have sold at least 100 vehicles online in the past twelve months and who pursue an appropriate pricing policy were shortlisted. For the award, fleet management (pricing of vehicles, average price adjustments per month as well as listing days), sales factors (average listing days as well as average price difference to the spot price) as well as a weighted combination of number of listings and inventory turnover were also evaluated on the dealer side. For the evaluation, only 1.5 to 8-year-old used cars in the price range from 5000 to 150,000 Swiss francs, with 10 to 400 offer days and a mileage between 5000 and 200,000 km were considered.
