E-Prix Bern: Only professionals are allowed to drive
APRIL Fool's Joke The appeal to our readers to take a closer look at Formula E and win a ride in an electric race car or safety car as part of the E-Prix Bern was (unfortunately) an April Fool's joke. The wish was father to the thought: many die-hard motorsport enthusiasts and fans are skeptical about Formula E. Wrongly so, in our opinion. [...]
The wish was father to the thought: many die-hard motorsport enthusiasts and fans are skeptical about Formula E. Wrongly so, in our opinion. After all, the electric racing series is on a very high technical level, and at the wheel are 22 of the world's best racing drivers from outside Formula 1 or even with a GP past. No one can deny that they don't deliver great sport with tough duels.
Only for Nico Müller and the pros
Anyone who sees or knows Nico Müller is welcome - time permitting - to talk to him about it. The test and reserve driver at Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler will undoubtedly be omnipresent in his home canton during the Formula E race on June 21/22. And a tour of the track is entirely possible - but only during the build-up until it is finished and the roads are closed to the public.
As far as driving in a modern Formula E race car is concerned, this remains a privilege for the pros. Or in simracing as an alternative for everyone.
Clever readers
