Crash test: Five stars for the Mustang Mach-E 🎥

ON NUMBER SAFE In the Euro NCAP crash test, the Ford Mustang Mach-E, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Hyundai Tucson as well as the Toyota Yaris Cross each received the top score of five stars.

The Mustang Mach-E is an all-electric mid-size SUV. In the crash test, the Ford achieves five stars.

 

The Hyundai Bayon still scored a good four stars. Among other things, it lacks a knee airbag for a better rating. It also does not have the center airbag of the Ioniq 5 and Tucson.

In the individual ratings, the Ford scored 92 percent of the possible points for adult occupant protection, 86 percent for child passenger safety, 69 percent for pedestrian protection and 82 percent for standard safety system features.

For the Ioniq 5 (right gallery), the percentages were 88, 86, 63 and 88 percent; for the Tucson (center gallery), 86, 87, 66 and 70 percent; for the Yaris Cross (left gallery), 86, 84, 78 and 81 percent; and for the Bayon, 76, 82, 76 and 67 percent.

In addition, Euro NCAP subsequently awarded the Ford Transit and Transit Custom "Gold" in the commercial vehicle rating after the manufacturer now equips the vehicles with a seat belt reminder as standard.
