Valuations in a calendar year
In total, Euro-NCAP had 33 models hit the wall last year. 22 achieved the maximum rating of five stars in the crash test. Since the star ratings cannot be compared directly between different vehicle categories, Euro-NCAP publishes a list of the class winners every year.
Because the requirements become more stringent each year, the organization only compares the best in class within a calendar year, so all vehicles were evaluated to the same standards.
