Concours d'Excellence: Second-oldest Porsche in the parade

RARITY At tomorrow Saturday's ACS Concours d'Excellence International at the Museum of Transport in Lucerne, a rarity will be on display in the form of Porsche 003. It is the second oldest Porsche model still in existence.

The Porsche 356/2-003, preserved in every detail, was already a car to fall in love with in 1949.

On Saturday, September 10, 2022, on the occasion of the ACS Concours d'Excellence International at the Museum of Transport in LucerneN (see gallery), a very special car will be on display. Restored down to the smallest detail, Porsche 003 is the second oldest model of the Stuttgart sports car brand still in existence.

From Egypt back to Switzerland
The history of the 356/2-003 is documented in detail. The vehicle was completed in June 1949. Already on June 12 of the same year, the Bordeaux red car owned by Bernhard Blank won 1st prize at the Concours d'Élégance in Lucerne.

On this occasion, Prince Mohammed Taher Pasha, nephew of the then Egyptian King Faruk, is said to have fallen in love with the vehicle. But before the prince, who was also president of the Egyptian Automobile Club, received the car, Bernhard Blank registered the two-seater with the license plate ZH 312.

Everything about the program on the Internet
