Big Data
As more and more components in vehicles are equipped with sensors, cars themselves are becoming data sources.

ZF from Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance, for example, is focusing on big data. For the automotive industry, data holds the opportunity to make future mobility more efficient, safer and more comfortable.
Thus, with the Data Venture Accelerator, the company is further expanding its range of services in the field of data-based solutions.

Accompany and accelerate product developments
ZF already has data-based business models, especially in the areas of truck and trailer telematics as well as wind energy. With the new tool, the automotive supplier wants to accompany and accelerate product developments that have proven their feasibility and added value - from initial realizations to mature data products.

Vehicles themselves become enormous data sources
As more and more components in vehicles are equipped with sensors, vehicles themselves are becoming an enormous source of data - because sensors collect data innately. This data can help make mobility safer, more efficient and more comfortable.

This also results in new business models: Making the data obtained in the vehicle economically usable for customers and at the same time creating added value for end users is one of ZF's goals.

Market experts fulfill customers' wishes
The Data Venture Accelerator consists of three main elements. In the Venture Speedboats, independent, multidisciplinary teams are assembled to bring data-based solutions and business models to market faster.

In addition, there are the Data Business Centers of Excellence (CoE). They consist of experts who ensure that the right tools are available to each of the speedboats and that defined processes and methods are adhered to and applied.

Last but not least, there is a joint market team of product specialists from ZF and dedicated market experts for the data-based solutions business who work together to meet the wishes and needs of existing and new customers.

CES will take place exclusively digitally until January 14, 2021.
