The evaluation is based on the price survey of about 5500 campsites throughout Europe.

On average, a family with two adults and a 10-year-old child will pay 37.56 euros at a European campsite this year during the summer peak season. The comparative price includes car and caravan parking as well as obligatory additional costs such as electricity, hot showers and visitor's tax.

Favorable prices in Sweden and Germany
Switzerland in second place is followed by Italy with 44.90 euros per family night. In third and fourth place are Denmark (42.02 euros) and Spain (40.42 euros). Less than 40 euro per night one pays in the Netherlands (39,75 euro) and Croatia (38,66 euro)
A camper family can stay even cheaper in France (38.54 euros) and Austria (37.02 euros), as well as in Sweden (31.46 euros) and Germany (30.31 euros). The highest price increases in comparison to the previous year are in Austria (five percent) and in Italy (4.3 percent).
