i3
With a range of around 260 kilometers, the electric BMW i3 is well suited for police operations.

From now on, the police officers in the municipality on Lake Zurich will have a BMW i3 (120 Ah) at their disposal for their patrols. This is the first purely electric police vehicle in Switzerland from BMW Group Switzerland.

Typical spontaneous power development
The BMW i3 is powered by a 125 kW (170 hp) electric motor and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. Thanks to the spontaneous power delivery typical of electric motors, it completes the intermediate sprint from 80 to 120 km/h in just 5.1 seconds.
In addition, the emergency vehicle has special equipment designed specifically for police service. It includes a vehicle livery designed according to police specifications, front and rear flasher units and the Hella RTK-7 special signal roof bar system with LED flash module, worklights and stop signal matrix.
