The license plate, which was stolen in June 2016, was put out to international search. Despite a wide-ranging search, it remained missing.
Motor vehicle control activated the sign
Together with the statement "While cleaning up our apartment, we found the BL 1 license plate. We think it was dragged by a former flatmate", unknown persons have returned the license plate, which has been missing for five years, to the Keigel garage in Frenkendorf.
After consultation with the Directorate of Motor Vehicle Control Baselland, the license plate could now be reactivated.
Owned by the Basel-based company since 1950
Garage Keigel has had the BL 1 license plate since the 1950s. It serves as a symbol for the quality awareness of the garage, which operates at six locations in the region of northwestern Switzerland.
