The delegates approved the qualification profile and the job title.

At the annual meeting of the Vocational Training Commission, the delegates approved the new qualification profile and the new job title. At the same time, the new qualification profile was also approved as part of the total revision of the existing examination regulations for higher vocational education and training.

Training creates incentives
Peter Linder, President of the Customer Service Advisor Quality Assurance Commission: "The aim of the revision work is to create training for young professionals that creates incentives and enjoys broad acceptance - whether in the automotive industry itself or among manufacturers and importers."

For this reason, the project team also includes representatives from manufacturers and importers. The feedback is encouraging.

Professional profile as a hub
The new name "Automotive Service Advisor" is intended to reflect the important job profile as a hub between customer needs and garage activities in aftersales. The title is intended to do justice to the broadly diversified function of the customer service advisor in the automotive industry.

The revised examination regulations and guidelines for higher vocational education and training should be in place by the end of 2020.
