Bentley switches from the big 12-cylinder gasoline engine to electric drive within a decade.

As part of its Beyond100 strategy, Bentley aims to become completely CO2 neutral by 2030. The goal is to be achieved through a comprehensive program covering all business operations and products.

Only purely electric drives from 2030
This includes the conversion of the model range, in which only plug-in hybrid or battery-electric models will be offered from 2026 and only fully electric vehicles from 2030. This will transform the British from the largest supplier of twelve-cylinder gasoline engines to a manufacturer of vehicles with no internal combustion engine at all within a decade. In doing so, they want to reinvent luxury mobility.

Benchmark in the luxury vehicle segment
Adrian Hallmark, Chairman and Chief Executive of Bentley Motors: "Since 1919, Bentley has defined luxury grand touring. Now, as we enter the second century of our company's history with our Beyond100 strategy, we will reinvent the company to continue to set the global benchmark in the luxury vehicle segment."

Water recycling system in the paint shop
Already last year, the Crewe plant became the first British manufacturing facility for luxury vehicles to be certified as CO2-neutral. Environmentally friendly solutions include the new water recycling system in the paint shop, regional reforestation programs, roofing with 10,000 solar modules and the switch to electricity from exclusively renewable sources.
