At the gates of the Zurich Exhibition Center, the fastest Swiss woman, Jndia Erbacher, greets visitors with her 10,000 horsepower dragster.

While the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team will be revving up Formula 1 engines in Hall 5, another stand in the same hall will feature Formula E's whisper-quiet electric cars. The Swiss Sauber team will let visitors take part in a pit stop and bring the F1 GP from Brazil into the exhibition halls with a public viewing event.

Similarities between Formula 1 and Formula E
Formula E, on the other hand, is already letting trade fair visitors dream of the next race in Switzerland and is revealing all the information about the Swiss E-Prix on June 22, 2019 in Bern.

But the contrasting racing series Formula 1 and Formula E also have one thing in common at Auto Zürich: At both stands, visitors can compete in racing simulators. And the fastest Swiss woman, Jndia Erbacher, fires up her 10,000-hp dragster for breathtaking fire-ups.

Swiss premieres and 42 brands
This year's Auto Zürich Car Show will once again feature tuners, the accessories exhibition and the CE Trend Tour with consumer electronics. However, the centerpiece of Auto Zürich is and remains the new car exhibition with 42 brands. Thereby 27 Swiss premieres are waiting for the visitors. The highlight is the European premiere of the VW T-Cross.

Second mainstay alongside new products
Auto Zürich is broadening its horizons for the future and has brought a proven expert on board in the form of new board member Marco Parroni. The Formula E project manager and head of marketing at Bank Julius Baer is driving the transformation from a classic automotive trade show to an event centered around digital and electrified mobility. New partners who, with their mostly digital ideas, are helping to shape the mobility of tomorrow are to be won over for Auto Zürich and thus become a second mainstay alongside the classic exhibition of new products.

The history of Formula Student
This year, this change is represented not only by Formula E but also by Formula Student. ETH Zurich is competing with the Academic Motor Sports Association Zurich AMZ in this competitive competition of universities from all over the world, living the change in mobility. The whole development will be on display this year in the exhibition halls in Oerlikon.
