Volkswagen's new T-Cross is based on the Polo, but offers plenty of space inside. Visually, the model is a true SUV.

This year, visitors to the 32nd Auto Zürich Car Show can marvel at 27 Swiss premieres. Most of them were presented at the Paris Motor Show just a few weeks ago. Others, like the VW T-Cross, were not even on show there.

Here are the most important Swiss premieres from A to Z:

Aston Martin The DBS Superleggera is the new top model from Aston Martin. A 5.2-liter V12 biturbo produces 725 hp and 900 Nm (0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, 340 km/h top). Prices for the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera start at 290,000 Swiss francs.

Audi e-Tron Audi's first electric car has 408 hp, can travel 400 kilometers on one battery charge and costs 89,900 Swiss francs. The e-Tron optionally has cameras instead of exterior mirrors. With the A1 and Q3, Audi is showing two more Swiss premieres.

Citroën C5 Aircross The comfortable Citroën C5 Aircross SUV has best-in-class cargo space of 580 to 720 liters. Two gasoline and diesel engines (130 to 180 hp) will be available in early 2019. An all-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid will follow in late 2019. Prices are still open.

DS 3 Crossback The PSA Group's first electric vehicle comes from DS. The DS 3 Crossback will arrive in mid-2019 with a range of more than 300 kilometers and 136 hp. Gasoline and diesel models (100 to 130 hp) will be available at the beginning of the year at prices that are still open.

Premiere
The successor to the DS 3 comes as a Crossback with an off-road look, and from 2019 also as an E-Tense electric version. The wide front is a striking feature.

Ford Focus Active More ground clearance and a rustic look turn the Ford Focus Active into a crossover. The diesels and gasoline engines (100 to 182 hp) can be combined with manual or automatic transmission at as yet unknown prices. Outside, Ford is also showing the Transit Custom Nugget camper.

Honda CR-V Hybrid Honda will offer its large SUV CR-V as a hybrid with 184 hp from 2019. Even in the combination of gasoline engine and electric motor, it remains practical as a 5- or 7-seater and with up to 1750 liters of trunk space. In addition, the revised HR-V has Swiss premiere at Auto Zurich.

Hyundai i30 Fastback N Hyundai's second sports model is the 275 hp i30 Fastback N. The hatchback sedan manages 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds and 250 km/h top speed. It will come to us at the beginning of next year starting at just around 40,000 francs.

Kia Niro EV Kia is launching a second electric vehicle. The Niro EV (136 or 204 hp) manages 312 or 465 kilometers in pure electric mode and rolls into Switzerland in early 2019. Prices have not yet been set. The Koreans are also showing the Proceed, a shooting-brake version of the Ceed.

Lamborghini Aventador SVJ A naturally aspirated V12 with 770 hp and rear-wheel drive - both make up the new Lamborghini Aventador SVJ. From the beginning of 2019 and 473,000 Swiss francs, it goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and up to a maximum of 350 km/h!

Opel Corsa GSi After the Insignia, Opel is also bringing the Corsa small car back as a GSi. The turbo gasoline engine produces 150 hp and accelerates the Corsa to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds (top speed 207 km/h). The upgraded GSi starts at 26,400 francs.

Peugeot 508 SW Peugeot is showing the 508 station wagon, which is 4.78 meters long and offers 530 to 1780 liters of cargo space. Two gasoline engines and three diesels deliver 130 to 225 hp. A plug-in hybrid will follow later. The SW will roll out in January at prices that have not yet been set.

Porsche Macan Porsche has given the Macan SUV a technical and visual update. Inside, there is a larger touchscreen and, for the first time, a four-cylinder turbo under the hood (245 hp, 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds). Prices: from 79,100 francs.

Renault Kadjar The revised Renault Kadjar will receive new engines at the beginning of next year. Two turbocharged gasoline and two turbocharged diesel engines will deliver between 115 and 160 hp. Also making its Swiss debut at the stand is the new Mégane R.S. Trophy with 300 hp. In addition, an F1 show car will be there.

Seat Tarraco Seat's new Tarraco flagship will be rolling out in early 2019. It comes with up to seven seats and all-wheel drive. Initially there will be two diesels and gasoline engines with 150 to 190 hp. A plug-in hybrid will follow later. Prices have not yet been fixed.

Skoda Kodiaq RS With 240 hp and 500 Nm, Skoda's first RS SUV has plenty of steam under the hood. The turbo diesel manages the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.0 seconds. The Kodiaq RS will be available at the end of the year at an as yet unannounced price. The Karoq Sportline and the natural gas Octavia G-Tec are also on show.

Suzuki Vitara FL With a new radiator grille, the Suzuki Vitara has a fresher appearance. A 140 hp turbo gasoline engine with all-wheel drive powers the car, while an emergency braking system and a lane departure warning system ensure safety. Prices of the Vitara start at 24,990 francs.

Toyota RAV4 The pioneer of the SUV segment is getting edgier. Next year, the fifth generation of the Toyota RAV4 will be available as a hybrid with a 2.5-liter gasoline engine or as a two-liter turbo. Prices for the 4.60-meter SUV are not yet known.

VW T-Cross The VW T-Cross unveils its European premiere at Auto Zürich. The Polo-based SUV comes with two gasoline engines and one diesel (95 to 115 hp). The prices are still open. In addition, the road version of the VW Golf GTI TCR is celebrating its Swiss premiere.
