The largest car show in German-speaking Switzerland opens its doors to the public today and offers not only numerous Swiss premieres but also a varied supporting program.
Motorsport
One focus is on motorsport. The Sauber F1 team, for example, is returning to the Auto Zürich Car Show. New team boss Frédéric Vasseur and long-time team manager Beat Zehnder were in attendance. On Saturday afternoon, Pascal Wehrlein will also pay a visit to Auto Zürich and sign autographs.
Formula E
With Formula E, Auto Zürich is also looking into the future of motorsport, in addition to the special show on hydrogen propulsion. Next season's Renault bolide can be admired in Hall 5 and visitors can try to beat the time of Swiss Formula E driver Sébastien Buemi on the simulator.
Numerous Swiss premieres
In addition to the numerous Swiss premieres (over 40 according to the organizers), Auto Zürich also offers a varied supporting program. For the third time, Auto Zürich is also offering a platform for training and further education with the Brain Village. During the four days of the fair, the vocational championships for automotive professions of the Canton of Zurich will take place.
