Auction: Michael Schumacher's Ferrari on offer 🎥

UNBIDDEN The renowned auction house RM Sotheby's offers with the 1998 Ferrari F300 with chassis 187 the successful Formula 1 car with which Michael Schumacher had won four GP victories in that season.

 

On January 7, 1998, Ferrari invited more than 800 journalists to Maranello for the unveiling of the new F300 F1 car. The latest model variant was equipped with a 3-liter V10 engine that delivered 800 hp and revved to a maximum of 17,500 rpm. During the season, the engine and the car's aerodynamics were continuously developed.

First victory at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
The Ferrari F300 with chassis 187 won for the first time at the Canadian GP at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal. Schumacher celebrated two further victories with this car in France and England.

With these three successes, Ferrari reached second place behind McLaren-Mercedes in the drivers' and constructors' championships. Schumi was then also victorious at the Italian GP in first place.

Car is maintained in original condition
Car 187 remained in the possession of the Scuderia until September 1999, when it was sold to the current owner, who left the car well protected in its original condition for 23 years. In Monterey, California, the Ferrari racer will be up for auction between August 18 and 20. Expected price range: six to eight million dollars.
