Audi: Ken Block puts Las Vegas under power 🎥

SPECTACULAR In the long-awaited Electrikhana video by American drift artist Ken Block, the Audi S1 Hoonitron, an all-electric prototype from Audi Sport GmbH, is one of the main actors.

A drift along the Eiffel Tower, a jump from the parking deck of the neighboring hotel or donuts on the Strip in front of Le Mans legend Tom Kristensen: Ken Block, the Audi S1 Hoonitron and other models from the treasure trove of Audi tradition attracted a lot of attention during the duo's nighttime filming in Las Vegas (center gallery). For several days at a time, Ken Block in the Audi S1 e-tron quattro Hoonitron electrified the gambler's paradise in Nevada.

With a lot of spirit, the dream couple Ken Block and Audi S1 Hoonitron took Las Vegas by storm.

Great challenge for the team

Oliver Hoffmann, Member of the Board of Management for Technical Development at Audi AG: "With the S1 Hoonitron, we have broken completely new ground at Audi. Developing a purely electric prototype for the very special requirements of our partner Ken Block was a major challenge that the entire team mastered with flying colors."

The S1 Hoonitron features two electric motors, all-wheel drive, power in abundance, a carbon fiber chassis and the full safety standard of the top motorsport authority FIA. The car was developed by Audi Sport as a one-off exclusively for Ken Block.

Its body, for which Audi Design headed by Marc Lichte is responsible, is immediately reminiscent of the legendary Audi Sport quattro S1 with which the Ingolstadt-based company once stormed up the famous Pikes Peak.

Racing legends of the four rings at the start
Ken Block and his team were in close contact with the Audi departments during the development of the vehicle. In addition to the S1 Hoonitron, other models in the Audi tradition also make small guest appearances in the Electrikhana film.

On display, for example, are the Audi 90 IMSA GTO from 1989, the Audi 200 Trans Am from 1988, the Audi Sport quattro S1 Pikes Peak from 1987, the Audi quattro Group B A2 from 1984 as well as the R8 LMP and the R18 e-tron quattro from Le Mans.
