Aston Martin: King of innovation
INTERIOR DESIGN Aston Martin has been honored with the King's Award for Enterprise for innovation. The British vehicle manufacturer has developed and patented a new perforating and stitching technique.
The new technology developed by Aston Martin makes it possible to create decorative surfaces and at the same time further improve the cooling function of the luxurious leather seats. With this solution, the British carmaker demonstrates its approach of combining craftsmanship with the latest technology to create bespoke leather interiors. Customers can now personalize their Aston Martin even further, as the in-house production technology allows the perforation of the leather to be designed entirely according to the customer's specific wishes.
The legacy of Queen Elizabeth II.
Lawrence Stroll, CEO of Aston Martin, explains: "As a company committed to constant innovation, we are extremely proud to receive the King's Award for Enterprise. This title recognizes both the ingenuity of our craftsmen and the quality of the bespoke interiors."
The King's Awards for Enterprise, formerly known as The Queen's Awards for Enterprise, are the most prestigious business awards in the UK. The Awards were established in 1965 and were renamed last year to reflect the King's wish to continue the legacy of Queen Elizabeth II by recognizing outstanding British businesses. Successful companies are allowed to use the King's Awards badge for the following five years. This is the third time Aston Martin has received this honor.
