In August 2007, Morten Hannesbo joined the Group as Managing Director Amag Import. In October 2009, he took over the overall management as CEO, which he has led and developed very successfully to date.
Rejuvenation of the entire management
As part of a long-term plan, the Board of Directors has already been planning the rejuvenation of the entire Executive Board since mid-2018. At the same time, it was also a wish of Morten Hannesbo to step down from office by mid-2021 at the latest.
A suitable successor has been found in Helmut Ruhl. He will take over the management of the Amag Group from Morten Hannesbo as of March 1. In order to accompany the handover in the best possible way, Hannesbo will stay on until April.
