The eye-catching "taster bus" made its first appearance at the Welcome Camp. In future, it will be presented at trade fairs and open days - next time at the VW Volksfest on August 25 and 26 in Interlaken.

With over 700 apprentices (around twelve percent of all employees), Amag is one of the largest training providers in Switzerland. Amag offers twelve different apprenticeships - from car body mechanic to automotive mechatronics technician to businessman or businesswoman. The aim of the event: It is important to the company that all apprentices have the best possible start to their vocational training.

At the beginning of the introductory program, the young people were welcomed by the management. Bernhard Soltermann, Managing Director of Amag Import AG, talked about his professional life. This was followed by a fun activity course covering topics such as organization, company divisions, philosophy and team spirit. A visit to the parts logistics center in Buchs ZH, the largest Amag spare parts warehouse in Switzerland, rounded off the program.

Taster bus celebrates its premiere at the Welcome Camp
Six apprentices from Amag Kloten have refurbished a 1988 VW bus and made it roadworthy. They removed dents and rust damage and repaired engine damage largely independently. A competition was held among all AMAG apprentices for the design of the exterior wrapping. Current apprenticeship vacancies and the first apprenticeships for 2019 can be found on the Internet.
