Alfa Romeo and the Italian police force are renewing their long-standing collaboration with the handover of the first Tonale in Turin. This began in the 1950s with the 1900 Super TI Speciale model and was continued in subsequent years with the Giulietta 1300, Giulia Super 1600, Alfetta, Alfasud, 33, 75, 155, 159 and Giulia models.
Special equipment for operations
The police Tonale is equipped with a 1.5-liter hybrid engine (163 hp) and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The vehicles are also equipped with anti-shatter films and the special Mercurio Extended connectivity system. This will enable faster checks during operations. The first vehicles are due to be delivered to police forces in the course of December.
